Description
The Kässbohrer company had started building bus bodyworks in the 1920s. However, by the 1950s they felt that new ways of bus construction needed to be introduced. This was the beginning of the "Setra" busses, which stands for "selbsttragend" (self-supporting). The regional type 215 UL was introduced in the early 1980s and proved to be a very successful design. Though production has long been ended, there are still quite some busses of this type in regular use today.
This bus is an alternative to the standard designs offered by Daimler-Benz and MAN. As such, it looks a bit different, but works just the same. As a regional bus, this type is a good allrounder, offering many seats and a decent top speed.
