Description
This model was the first post-war construction of Daimler-Benz. The design was based on pre-war models, yet it was very successful and provided a good base for future expansion of the company. Until 1955, about 6000 units were built, in addition to more than 1500 frames which got bodyworks by specialized companies.
The last pre-war coach types should be in need of replacements now, and this is just the model to provide that. As the construction is rather conservative, this is a reliable coach. It offers quite luxurious seats, but, due to exactly that luxury, only a limited number of them. This type is also the last one in the set to have a front engine.
