Description
During the war, bus production was cut down in favor of tanks and other war machinery. Still, Daimler-Benz produced some 300 wartime busses. These models had been stripped down to the bare minimum, they simply offered transportation, but no comfort whatsoever. After the war, production was continued under difficult circumstances, as most production lines had been damaged or destroyed. In 1950, newly developed models were finally available.
This bus is a replacement for earlier city busses. However, due to the historical background, this type does not offer much on the side of technological advances, but merely cheap and reliable transportation.
