Description
The O 405 was the successor of the O 305 type. It conformed to the new VÖV-II regulations. An articulated version was available as well. Again, this type was very successful, the last units are still in service, though being replaced with newer models after having served for more than 15 years. In the early 1990s, a low floor version was developed, being called O 405 N.
This type is the articulated version of the O405 and shares its features. It offers an unparalleled capacity, but it also lacks a fourth door, in comparison to the Ikarus 280.02.
