Description

This type was developed in the early 1950s and a somewhat special technology-wise, being battery powered. This earned them the nickname of "power socket-intercity". They were developed for services on branch lines in the flat areas of Northern Germany. Here they were a common sight for decades. The last units were being put of out service in the 1990s, being replaced by more modern DMUs.

In the game this type has a similar issue as the Uerdinger rail bus DMU: the capacity is too limited. They can only run on lines with really little passenger traffic in flat areas. Maybe they are useful as cheap additions on existing lines, or to actually open up new lines and routes.
