Description
The E 75 was a freight engine that was developed for freight services on the electric network in southern Germany. It proved to be a reliable design and remained an important type even for a long time after World War II. The last units were put out of service in the early 1970s.
In the game, this engine is the first true freight engine that is suitable for heavier trains without becoming a moving railroad block due to the lack of top speed. Still, one has to take care to not overload the engine, heaviest coal trains are a better match for class E 95. Once the class E 94 is introduced, providing a better top speed, one should consider replacing this type. The latest time for a replacement will probably be the introduction of class 140 in the 1950s.
